First time coming here and I will go again!! We had a party of 8 and did not have to wait to be seated. They have a wonderful selection of drinks. I tried the old fashioned(better like scotch) it had a unique taste a little on the bitter side. I also had the jalepeno margarita.. And that. Definitely had a kick!! If you like spicy , thats the way to go. Chilies are thier specialty. I got the Chile plate which is your choice of meat and two sides. I got thier red chile sauce over shredded chicken. With, sautéed squash and corn, and rice. Amazing!! Also others in our group had the carne asada, so tender. Braised short ribs , fajitas... Every thing that was ordered was phenomenal.. There wasnt anything that was bad with this experience. Loved it ~ Sarah W

So we had originally planned to go somewhere else for Valentine's Day and that didn't happen. So we stopped here. This was our first time and we were impressed!! The food was delicious!! I had the shrimp burrito enchilada style. We ordered the queso dip for an appetizer and it knocked our socks off. Sooooo good! And I had the best Margarita here. No joke. My husband even ordered one after tasting mine and he doesn't even drink much!! Brysen was our waiter and he did an awesome job. He checked on us continuously and showed good customer service. Answered all of our questions too. Something that's hard to get sometimes. In the middle of our dinner the owner came up to talk. To see if everything was ok. I appreciate that. This was the perfect spot for a spicy craving. Hubby and I had a date night here and sat on the patio. It was a beautiful evening. They have a large patio facing the main street. The servers were nice and they did a great job anticipating our needs. We were greeted with blue and yellow corn tortilla chips with 3 various salsas. We ordered the cheese crisp with green chili for an appetizer. Fair warning it was very large. (Like a large pizza). The flavor was delicious and the cheese melted off each piece perfectly. The shrimp enchiladas and the green chili Verde plate with pinto beans and roasted corn were great entrees. I chose this place for a mom’s day out with a few friends and the pressure was on to find a delicious margarita, I chose well because they had every type you could think of! First of all I will say that I liked the food selections. I am picky when it comes to the chips and salsa. That may not seem like the main area of focus, but for me when I'm at a restaurant, it can make or break a meal for me. new American food is actually my favorite food and I don’t indulge in it often so everything on the menu looked amazing, The short rib enchilada was smoky and so very tender with just the right amount of heat! The chili Colorado taco was yummy & The mashed potatoes were wonderful and provide a perfect side dish. The service was okay, If I were our server I would have refreshed our chips and salsa once or twice but it didn't deter us from having a very enjoyable lunch. ~ Andrea M

Listen, people, l am not a big fan of writing reviews, but this place was it for me. I was celebrating my bday with my gals, and most of us are Africans or African descent, and we are looking for good ethnic food, and the food was fanstatic. FYI, they don't make African food, but the food they made was tasty 😋😋😋. JULIAN, you are such a wonderful waiter. Thank you for being patient, welcoming, and on point with us. We were a reasonably big group, and you were so kind, warm, and patient with us. We ended up being the only ladies left, and we got to dance Afro beat music courtesy by JULIAN. A friend had mentioned this place and we decided to try it out for Father’s Day. I will say this is goi g to be a regular spot for us. The service was absolutely great. From the lady that seated us to our server. He was running the bar at the same time and was very good at his job. The food was so fresh and a ton of it. They brought out fresh chips and 3 different salsas to have with it. All three were great. Then when it came to our food, the tacos were so stuffed full of meat and well made. The is great inside and outside seating. We were there early but I am sure it fills up quick. We sat at one of the high tops by the bar and there was plenty of room for us. ~ Jeremy C

This was our 1st time at the Chandler location, usually we go to Gilbert. My husband chose this as the restaurant to celebrate his 40th bday with his family. This place is the real deal. The food is delicious, and as a native New Mexican, I can confirm - it's just like home. New Mexico food isn't like other food, it's better. My favorite thing to eat there is the red chile braised short ribs (delicious with green chile mashed potatoes and calabacitas). The only bad thing about the evening was that they left the large front doors open all night, and those in our party sitting nearest the doors were freezing. We will return! ~ Stacey G

Honestly one of the best burritos I've ever had in my life!! Incredibly good! I was actually a pretty blown away by the atmosphere they had a guy playing a guitar he was actually phenomenal!! He played a lot of music that I completely enjoyed! This place deserves more than five stars!!! Everybody was very busy the staff was very friendly and very quick!! I can't begin to explain how delicious the food really is the chips were also good and the salsa was very complementing!! I appreciate a good burrito Thank you for working so hard!!! My wife and I are in town visiting Phoenix for the the first time. We are staying at the crown plaza and decided to walk around to find a place to eat. We first came across another Mexican restaurant but we are so glad we came. The whole experience at La Rista was great. We had a wonderful server Naudia who took great care of us! But I do want to shout out to all the staff. We had about 4 people come refill our water. We also sat out on the side patio which was wonderful. They turned the heaters on for us so we were nice and toasty. House margs - 10/10! They came so fast and tasted amazing. Green chili burrito - 12/10! The flavor was out of this world. Mexican pizza - 7/10 - it was good but I think I like green white sauce better than the red sauce that came (the burrito was so big did not really even need it) Overall a great restaurant and do recommend! TLDR: in the mood for Mexican just go. ~ ThE H

Yum!!! I've only been to New Mexico twice, but sometimes I crave some good New Mexican food. La Ristra fits the bill! The flavors are bold, the meats tender, and everything tasty. We tried out their new location for happy hour (even on a Saturday!) and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. There were decent drink and food specials on the happy hour menu ($1.50 -$2 off regular prices). We got completely full on two happy hour items (and a couple of drinks). Definitely try the New Mexican pizza during happy hour; it's only $9 and is piled with meat, chilis, cheese, and sauce - so delicious! ~ Nicole S

We dined in at La Ristra for a quick date night. It was our first time there. There was ample patio seating and someone playing live music, which was a nice touch. We ordered appetizers for our meal to split. Which, our server Kayla, brought us plenty of plates for sharing and our drinks were never empty. The green chile carne asada sliders were absolutely delicious and I would come back just for those. Ceviche was delicious and fresh tasting. The sauce on the hot wings was sweet and spicy. Had a great experience at La Ristra New Mexican Kitchen in Chandler during a lunch networking meeting. The authentic New Mexican food was packed with flavor—especially the red and green chile and fresh house-made salsa. Everything was hot, fresh, and cooked to perfection. Service was excellent—friendly, fast, and attentive—making it a perfect spot for a business lunch or casual meal. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the menu had plenty of options for everyone. If you’re looking for delicious New Mexican cuisine in Chandler, La Ristra is a top choice. Yesss! I'm so excited that La Ristra is in Chandler. Grateful for their care during no-contact pick up and the thoughtfulness for customers dining in. I've experienced both and during this crazy time I know I can come here and feel safe. I highly recommend the rice bowl with grilled chicken. The southwest sauce drizzle on top is amazing. We also love the stacked enchiladas with carne adovada. Sangria margaritas are the best and I also recommend the spicy mango-ritas. We will be back this weekend for brunch. ~ Cristina M

Food was amazing! Went with my dad because we both love New Mexican food and it did not disappoint. The staff was great as well, no complaints there. Only downside was we went on a Saturday evening at 6pm and did not realize they would have a live band. Although the band was on the patio and we were inside, the music was so loud we couldn’t hear each other to talk. Would have been nice if it were quieter for those indoors who wanted to enjoy the company at their table. Food wise though it could not have been any better, hence the 5 stars. ~ Taylor B

Excellent food. Excellent service. You cannot go wrong with this restaurant. I believe our server was Mark. He was knowledgeable and honest about the menu. Honest in regards to, ya can't go wrong with almost anything. Had the green chile casserole and enjoyed it. It has an egg on top that only the egg white is cooked. Which I do not like runny eggs. My wife and I were looking to try a new Mexican place tonight and man did we hit the jackpot! There is nothing bad I can say about this place. Our server Olga was not only very attentive, she was very knowledgeable of the menu, and was able to answer our many questions. We tried 4 of the meats and they were absolutely amazing. We have been looking for a good white queso for nearly a year since I moved out here, and our search is finally over! It is not a question of if, but when we will be back. Came here on a whim because we didn’t want to cook and it did not disappoint! Loved the ambiance and the restaurant was super cute! It was 6:45 on Sunday night and we had a quick wait but we’re seated within five minutes. The football game was broadcasted on a bunch of tvs and played on the surround sound throughout the restaurant which made for a really cool Sunday night football viewing experience (and I’m a “go sports” kinda girl about football lol)! We were greeted promptly and were given complimentary chips and a salsa trio! All three salsas were absolutely fantastic! I ordered a prickly pear enchanted marg. I couldn’t taste the tequila (because it was made so good) but it was really really good! It’s their double marg and one did the job lol. I ordered the shrimp rice bowl and my fiancé ordered the stuffed sopapillas with rice and mashed potatoes! Food was fantastic. Great service by Sampson! They also surprised us with chocolate stuffed churros for our engagement and it was the cherry on top of a perfect weekend! ~ Bri M

Alex was an amazing server of fabulous New Mexican food. Look no further for extra generous size portions of exemplary flavor & presentation. New Mexican cuisine is far superior to anything else out there. You actually get levels of heat {spice} vs hot or not. You will not be disappointed. Did I mention the vast variety of tequila choices? Or Margaritas? Highest ratings given & then some! Oh yeah, they have 2 locations- Chandler where we were & Gilbert. Worth. Every. Penny. The chicken enchilada with green sauce is excellent. The Red Chili stacked hasbrowns for brunch are delicious. They serve three different kinds of salsa with your chips. There is also a great tequila selection (try a tequila flight). We also love a large beer with a margarita floater. Highly recommended 👌 10/07/2025 Tried a sessional special "Frito Pie". Our family has been making this for decades. I have to say their version was excellent. This dish is listed as an appetizer however its perfect for a meal. Spicy and Delicious! ~ Mark D

Finally food with flavor! Everything we had was delicious! Relleno plate with shredded chicken and rice and beans and chimi-style burrito with green sauce with mashed potatoes and calabacitas... better than my mom's :) Live music was great and our service from Amber was the best! Glad I found this spot just driving around. Luckily, was able to request a reservation via Google. Sad to be leaving town soon :( ...no pics because we inhaled everything! ~ Dulce G

The food here is delicious. I started with the Queso Blanco Chorizo Dip. One bite, and I was in cheese heaven. For the main course, I went with the Adovada Short Ribs. My only complaint is I wanted more. The green chili mashed potatoes and calabacitas made for tasty sides, though. If you don't notice when you walk in, they have a large tequila selection. Spend some time choosing the right one. I also saw they have an amazing looking brunch menu. I will have to return to check it out. ~ keithreilly37

Exceptionally exquisite!! Food, service, ambiance all on point 😋🤩 Busy when we arrived but seated and served in a timely manner. We were referred by friends and are grateful to them. We've had "normal" Mexican food but never "New". I loved every bite of my chili relleno plate. Chips and 3 salsas to start were great also. Hubby had Rib plate which was delicious and he ate it all even tho he doesn't do spicy. The med size skinny margaritas are perfect accompaniment to round out the meal 😋 🍹 ~ Christina M

So far everything nice. Prompt service. Chips and salsa comes out first. different chilies sauces. I like the lighter one not as hot but all are good. I ordered the fajita and shrimp plate. Can’t wait….chips are not hard to crunch. Quite soft. Parking garage in the back where u park.. I’ll let you know when food comes out. I know for sure the breakfast burrito are the bomb 💣. Has some fire too them. But excelente.. food was good as it looks. Wonderful. Hit the spot.. ~ Jay T
